Joan Mwaniki is the Founder and Executive Producer of Lumos Africa, a corporate communications agency that is devoted to uplifting African voices through prudent storytelling, brand consistency and visibility. A journalist by profession, Joan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media from Daystar University, Joan has over four years of experience in media, broadcasting and corporate communications. Her career began at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), where she sharpened her skills in news presentation, event hosting, and impactful storytelling across both radio and television platforms. She has worked with various brands in Africa, promoting different products cutting across sectors and usability.
She founded Lumos Africa out of the need to disseminate factual information about Africa, especially in business and culture. Her focus was on creating investor-ready information that would grow Africa’s potential as well as putting it out there.
